What is the difference between thermal conductive silicone film and heat dissipating silicone pad

Many people believe that thermal conductive silicone film and heat dissipation silicone pad are the same product, which is a common thermal insulation material. However, this is not the case. Since there are differences between the two names, it is reasonable. There must be differences between the two. Firstly, thermal conductive silicone film is generally better with a layer of glass fiber, which has better insulation performance but poorer thermal conductivity. Generally, this product needs to be used in conjunction with other heat dissipation materials such as thermal conductive silicone grease to achieve better results. Heat dissipation silicone pad is generally ordinary without substrate, with better thermal conductivity, slightly lower tensile strength, toughness and insulation performance than thermal conductive silicone film. Both products have their own advantages and disadvantages, and customers need to choose the appropriate interface material according to their own product situation
